Q: If I don't know Chinese, can I apply?

​A: Yes, NCCU has seven English programs, one Bachelor (ICI) and five Master's programs (IMBA, IMAS, IMICS, IMPIS, IMES) 

and one doctoral program (IDAS). 

Q: Does NCCU provide Chinese courses?

A: yes, we do have a Chinese Language Center (CLC) which offers regular Mandarin Chinese courses for four terms a year.

Admissions

Q: When will the NCCU  admission brochure be released?

A: It will be released around November

Q:  When can I apply for NCCU's Fall Semester and Spring Semester?

A: Fall Semester online application is available around  January.  (Please check the NCCU admission brochure Fall) Spring Semester online application is available around September (Please check the NCCU admission brochure Spring)

 

Q: Could I submit a photocopy of my education documents to apply to NCCU?

A: Applicants are required to submit photocopies of their educational documents when applying to NCCU.

 

Q: What is the application procedure?

A: - Apply Online. (http://oicwebap.nccu.edu.tw/Fall/IntStdApply/Index.aspx)

     - Print online application documents.

     - Prepare materials required for the application and pay the application fees documents.

Q: What is the IMBA department's application procedure?

A: The application is available at NCCU's IMBA online application system https://imbaoas.nccu.edu.tw/

 

Q: What if international students can't submit application material before the scheduled time or some of the documents are not yet received from school?

Q: Who can write a recommendation letter?

A: High school students and college students can ask for recommendation letters from professors or teachers. If you have already graduated you may ask for recommendation letters from your employer/boss.

 

Q: How to apply to the Chinese Language Center?

Q: Are there any regulated formats of my study plan or autobiography?

A: If the departments/programs do not regulate the words or format of your study plan and autobiography, it means it is up to you. Please feel free to contact departments/programs you would like to apply to and refer to the admission brochure for contact information.

 

Q: What are the regulations for submitting Chinese or English Proficiency Test transcripts or certificates?

A: Please see the admission brochure to see if the departments/programs you are applying to specify the types. If not, you can submit it in any format.  Please feel free to contact the departments/programs you would like to apply to if you have any questions. 

Q:  What are the regulations for submitting the official bank statement?

A:  Either a fixed or current account is acceptable.
- If the official bank statement is not in the name of the applicant, a signed sponsorship letter in Chinese or English is required.

Q: Is a bank statement compulsory? Are there any options? 

A:  Yes bank statements are an important part of the application. If you’re also applying for Taiwan government scholarships (MOE, MOFA, ICDF, Elite, etc.), you could upload the scholarship application form instead of a bank statement as financial support.

Q: How can international students apply for NCCU's Scholarships?

A:  The candidates must be nominated by the college/department they are applying to. (Please check: http://oic.nccu.edu.tw/files/11-1000-280.php/?Lang=en) The scholarship results will be posted with the application result.

Q: Does the Taiwan Government offer scholarships to Indian students?

Q: How can Indian students apply for Taiwan Government  Scholarships?

A:  The students have to apply through the Taiwan representative office in  Delhi, India. There are two key websites that you can refer to ICDF Website and Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in India 

 

Housing/Dorm

Q:  How do new students apply for on-campus housing?

A: The dormitories for undergraduate and graduate first-year students are all assigned by Student Housing Service Section.

 

Q: How can I search for Dormitory Fee?

Verification of education documents & Visa Application

Q: How to verify education documents?

A: All Indian documents must bear a signature or seal of the Ministry of External Affairs ( MEA) in New Delhi, or its branch offices in other Indian cities Ministry of external affairs, India and then be verified by the Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in India. If the original documents are not in Chinese or English, a Chinese or English translation, verified by the Taiwan Overseas Representative Offices, also needs to be submitted.

Q: Where is Taiwan Overseas Representative Office located in India?

A: There are two Taiwan Overseas Representative Offices in India 

1. Delhi office: Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in India.

2. Chennai Office: Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in Chennai
